The three of us are here to ask for your help. It is once again the summer doldrums for giving, and our care depends on folks like you helping out. Please send a tax-deductible donation and we will be so very grateful.
“I represent the 45 senior and special needs dogs living at the Forever Farm. I am a senior, mostly blind and deaf, and really a goofy, lovable guy. They asked me to represent the dogs because I am just so darn cute. Believe it or not, I was found as a stray and taken to a county shelter. They asked Friends for Life to help me. Because I am old and blind and deaf. I am the epitome of a Forever Farm resident.”
“Yep, they spelled that right, and I am about as goofy as my name. I represent the five horses currently cared for by Friends for Life. You might say “why so few horses.” Well, for one thing, we are expensive to feed and care for. Especially me. Did you know that a lack of dental care can kill a horse? My people did not know that and couldn’t understand why I got so skinny that one day I laid down and couldn’t get up. If they hadn’t called the vet – I would have died. The vet convinced them that I needed a special diet and extensive care to survive, and I found that at the Forever Farm.”
“Did you know there are approximately 140 cats in the care of Friends for Life. I came to the Forever Farm via another rescue organization which had “pulled” me from a county shelter. But I tested positive for a very infectious disease called Feline Leukemia. Fortunately, for me, the Forever Farm has a special room for kitties like myself. Otherwise I would have spent the rest of my life in a cage, or been euthanized. And that would have been awful, because I am purrfect.”
